Xbox App - App freezes whenever I click on "Achievements"

Essentially, the app works fine except when I go to the achievement list for a specific game, at which point the entire UI freezes and I can't do anything except restart the app. Is anybody else experiencing this problem?

Xbox App keep FREEZING Every time Please Help

I have both the xbox app and the beta app. all in the latest versions and they keep freezing every 30 seconds or so. I click on a friend, it will try loading the profile and freeze. I click on achievement, it will freeze. anything I do makes it freeze and
then I will have to restart it every time. I have a surface pro 3 i5 4300u 8GB RAM 256GB

 

I'm having the exact same problem. No clue what is causing it.

 

Yeah. I'm also having this problem, expect it's when I normally go onto my profile / after a few clicks. I've tried reinstalling it, but that doesn't work, also tried resetting Windows 10, and that doesn't work either. I couldn't find ANY information on
how to fix it other than a couple of threads on other websites, something about reseting the WSCache, (i tried it, it didn't work. ).

 

Same exact issue for me as well. The UI freezes except the little avatar in the upper left will still animate. If I re size the app window it doesn't redraw but it dose not show up as not responding in task manager. I have been experiencing this problem
since the update that added in "high quality" streaming. Before that it was fine.

24GB DDR3

4GB GTX 770 355.82 driver

Windows 10 Pro x64 with latest updates

 

this happens to me as well. has been happening for months now. really annoying

 

same issue for me, when i look a profile's friend the app crash

 

I think I found a fix.. download the xbox beta app from the store. it works perfectly. no crashes, no freezing .

I also hit the same issue. It's not just loading Achievements for me, I randomly have the app become unresponsive whenever it's loading data e.g. achievements, or friends' profiles, etc.

Beta app doesn't fix it - happens there too. For some reason it only seems to happen on one of my machines - the other doesn't hang in either the beta or normal app at all.

 

I can now confirm having done many tests that this issue is related to friends. everyone that has this issue have a lot of friends. I had like 300 and it kept crashing. I signed in using my second ms/xbox account that had only 1 friend and it didn't crash.
I then removed more than 200 of my friends from my main account and it is not crashing anymore. I currently have less than 100 friends and my Xbox app is working flawlessly. This shows it has something to do with the Hugh friends list. I removed most of my
friends cause I don't play with them anymore. I suggest you don't do the same and wait for a fix from the Xbox team.

 

*** I've had this problem in my old laptop and my new PC. My old laptop was a crappy i3 processor so i assumed it was just too much for it to handle. Now I have a gaming rig with an i7 and a GTX 960 and it does the same thing, only when I view my profile
or friends. And I have only 92 friends so I already have less than a hundred...

But I'll try deleting some
