    Xbox App and the Failing Framerate


    My Xbox App and Xbox One used to work very well. I would stream to my laptop and play my games almost nightly. Then the updates came...

    Now when I try to stream, the framerate is horrific making my game a useless choppy mess that makes it pointless to even... try.

    I tried reaching out to tech support and to say there was a lack of the appropriate technical knowledge is to put it mildly.

    The rep legitimately told me my issues were because I wasn't using a TV, then told me it was the resolution on my screen.

    All my stuff is hardwired, no WiFi connection for this guy. I use 5 foot Ethernet cables and nothing is tangled. I tried rebooting, refreshing and even alternate mac address change.

    I'm at my wits end, and the PS4 remote play app just laughs as I've been forced to get the Destiny game on PS4 just so I can play it this way, and it works flawlessly.

    Help?

    Hi Lars, What version of the app are you using? When your trying to connect what scenario is happening? Is the App failing to sign in? Or is the App failing to connect with your Xbox One? '

    It can affect the framerate if there are multiple apps that are running at the same time when you are playing a game. It will only affect a little, but if only a few apps, it should be the same framerate.

    that's because the xbox one has bad framerate and 360 did not so putting a 360 game on xbox one equals bad framerate.

    still not fixed... i've resorted to using my surface pro hooked to the tv for video app watching, the same apps like Microsoft Movies & TV work perfectly on that output to the tv, no framerate issue.
