Xbox app and profiles

Hi there, I have this annoying issue that keeps happening where I have a dedicated server for Ark: Survival evolved on my xbox and I play with my friends on my PC and to join the game I have to have the Xbox app on my PC to join the game but for some reason
it always signs me in on my xbox with the account im using on the Xbox app which I didnt tell it to do, which then closes the game and the server saying im playing it elsewhere and I dont want to remove the account from my xbox as I have other games I play
and the main account I use for that is the one I'm using on my PC any help would be great thanks.

Just a question, why you don't use the same profile for everything?

Because the game I'm hosting a dedicated server to play the game with my friends and to do that I need 2 different accounts with the game on so that one is the host and one I use for playing

Hello Ryan, this is strange, because if your original account is active it is impossible to create another equal account with the same email, the system would warn you that there is already an account with the same name.

Currently the games are linked to the profile signed into the Xbox app, not on the Xbox companion app, change the profile trough the Xbox app and that should solve the issues

Open the Xbox Companion App on your PC.

Click on the profile icon or your account picture in the top right corner of the app. This should open a drop-down menu.

From the drop-down menu, select "Sign Out" to log out of the current profile.

Once you're signed out, click on the profile icon again, and this time, select "Add or switch" to add or switch to a different profile.

You should see a list of available profiles associated with your Microsoft account. Select the profile you want to use or sign in with.

If you're not seeing your correct profile listed or if the Xbox Companion App still automatically logs you into the unintended profile, you can try the following additional steps:

Completely close the Xbox Companion App by right-clicking on its icon in the taskbar and selecting "Close window" or "Quit."

Open the "Settings" app on your PC by pressing the Windows key + I.

Navigate to "Apps" or "Apps & features" in the Settings.

Find the Xbox Companion App from the list of installed apps and click on it.

Click on the "Advanced options" link.

In the Advanced options, click on the "Reset" button. This will reset the app and clear any saved data.

Once the reset is complete, launch the Xbox Companion App again and try signing in with your correct profile.
