Xbox and power supply shutting down.

It sounds like you need to reset your power supply.

Now, if that doesn’t work, it may be time to replace your power supply. I purchased a refurbished one from Amazon. My Xbox works like new, now.

Hi. What colour is the power supply light when you first turn on the console and then when the console shuts down? Do you see the power light flashing red at all before the console shuts down. Is it possible for you to try another power supply with your
console, maybe borrow one from a friend to see if you still get the issue. Is the power supply on anything such as a carpet or other soft furnishing.

I've had my 360 for over ten years. The main issue that shuts down a system is the power supply. You say its not a power issue, but that is exactly what you're encountering. If a power supply is degraded, the 5v an 12v peripherals can interfere with
eachother for load. If the HDMI is adding a load, that the Power Supply (PS) cannot handle, it will detect a fault and shutdown. Mine is simply shutting down the NIC when I ad HDMI for it to display and boot up.

Does the power supply get excessively hot, this can be an issue and will cause the power supply to shut down. Make sure it is in a well ventilated space and not on a carpet. It sounds like you have swapped out power supplies, try this power supply with
another console if you can, this will identify if it is the power supply for certain.

Some activities will put more of a power draw on the console than others.
