    XBox and PC in same room. Is there a way to share a controller?


    Title pretty much says it all. I'm running both my xbox and my PC off my bigscreen, and I just got the xbox controller receiver for the PC. However, turning on the controller automatically pairs it with and turns on the xbox. Other than unplugging the
    xbox every time i want to use the controller on the PC, is there any workaround to swap back and forth between the systems?

    How to stream video from PC to XBox One X ?

    I have a shared folder on my PC where I keep all my videos. PC name is ASUS. Share is "movies".

    PC and Xbox One X (XB1X) are on same LAN on my home network here.

    How can I display the contents of my shared PC folder on my XB1X, so I can select the file and play the video?

    I have another HTPC right next to the Xbox. The HTPC is hooked up to the same TV as the Xbox, so what I'm doing now is boot up that PC then stream the videos from the PC in the other room. (PC on other room (bedroom) is much daily workhorse... PC in the
    TV room is an older one that I just use for HTPC purposes now, and has a MASSIVELY loud set of fans in it).

    Ideally I'd like to just boot up my Xbox, find the shared folder on the PC in my bedroom, and play the videos on my Xbox and TV.

    Both PCs are running Win7 Pro.

    Ideas?

    Is there a way to?

    There is no way to transfer anything from one account to another. It's simply not possible.

    You need to sync the controller to the device you want to use.

    How to sync to your console is here support.xbox.com/.../connecting-game-controllers

    It's the same for the PC,you just press the little button on the dongle rather than the console.

    When you switch your controller on it will automaticly sync to the last device it was used on.

    Controller keeps disconnecting

    Some times both consoles are turned on at the same time but it happens when only one is on as well

    Yes both share same network

    All 4 controllers are normal xbox one controllers

    They disconnect when playing online and offline games

    No pc games

    First started happening maybe In September

    Also I have a Xbox series X In a Third room that has no issues

    Sharing is easier if you're both in the same room and you have at least 2 controllers. :p
