Xbox and Mod Support

Ever since the announcement at E3 that the Xbox One version of Fallout 4 will have mod support, I am wondering if this will open the door for Xbox and future games to have mod support in some way? For example, will the Xbox versions of Minecraft or a future
sequel have support for mods like Optifine or Not Enough Items? Or perhaps will a potential Elder Scrolls VI game be allowed to have support for mods like the PC version of Skyrim already has? I already know that it depends on the hardware, OS, and whether
or not developers/publishers of games like the idea of their games being modded, etc. But I am wondering if it will be possible for current or future Xbox hardware to have support for mods in some way?

Mods for the Next-Gen Console

Hmmm... nah, can't happen. Why? Like what the heavensdevil said. Keyword: exploit. It's going to be hard to get back from that. Also, if they did make mods possible, they might do what EA is doing now with the official mod support of SimCity: implement a very strict policy on what goes in and out of the game. So mod support may happen but the freedom won't be as free as the PC mod world.Click to expand...

You said it. Yes, it's true. EA's strict policy may actually be implemented if mods are to be supported for the current-gen. It can't happen. See why Minecraft for Xbox 360 gets skin packs with a price? Sad but true.

Neither game supports mods on Xbox. Xbox does not support modification of games by end users. All mods that work are inserted by the developers

Unless it's a game that supports mods (like Skyrim or Fallout) there's no way to use a mod from the PC without risking being banned.

Exactly, there are only a handful of games that currently support mods on the Xbox One. To my understanding, these mods are pre-approved, and can be added through the game(s).

@CHORAS DEN how wont they if a game like and as complicated as fallout 4 will get mods on console such as xbox one and if one game will get mods games like minecraft on console which people as shown on that link have been wanting mods on it for aegis.

now one game is doing it on console there is nothing saying minecraft wont get mods i play pc version aswell as console version but as saying it has the possibility of having mods.

thats for the pc side of things, limited pc mods on bedrock better if you are using and maintaining your own server, java version is the best for mods.
