Didn't bother to read this whole post but neither consoles support backwards compatibility. They cut it for the interest of gamers so they would be able to move forward in technology.

Can you try another browser, sometimes the security settings in the browser stop certain functions of the webpage from loading correctly.

please check http://account.microsoft.com to see if your profile information is specified correctly, if none is present (Name etc) then this issue can happen, filling in the details should fix the issue. The update
may take several hours before it shows when trying to create a chat)

As alternative solution you can also try to contact official Xbox Support via Phone at
Customer Support

Make sure the country in the bottom left corner is the country you are present in.

Somebody call the Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaambulance. Oh big whoop, your going to have to keep your current xbox 360 in order to play your 360 games. Why is this such a big deal if you already have "2 Original Xboxs, and 3 xbox 360s"? sure your TV has multiple HDMI
inputs, simply keep your 360 in HDMI one and the xbox one in HDMI 2. By the way I love how you try to sound all important with your "collective". How about you get a life.

Being a gaming collective that is part of the IT community you would think that a little more research would have been done. The PS4 is not backwards compatible with older generation games.

However, apparently Sony does say that they are working on a cloud based system that will play the older gen games. Whether or not that will become a reality is something yet to be seen. What does matter is the fact that all the money you spend on system
and games now will have to be re-spent if the new service ever comes available.

Personally, I like the Xbox. Old and new consoles. I still have my 360 and enjoy my games on it as well as the new system. It's no real issue for me to turn on one system or the other. Besides, who knows what the future holds for the X1. MS may very
well implement their own backwards compatible system at some point.

Iam sry but being the gamer u seem to be you should of known months ago that the Xbox1 does not have backward compatibility. So u should of wrote this to Microsoft months agobefore release, not 2 weeks after the launch of xbox1.

I'm not disagreeing with u, I feel the same way as u, I own a bunch of arcade titles and game add ons I can't use on the new system and that just sucks, but I enjoy Microsoft products so I go along with it ugh.....so I just make room and have both playing
on my tv.is it a inconvenience yes.
