Xbox and games running slow, etc

okay so for the past few weeks closer to a couple of months, Ive been noticing some GUI errors happening on my Xbox One S, 2tb HDD, with a external Solid State, like randomly my screen will show me the GUI breaking, meaning bits and peices of my screen go byebye and all I see is what looks like the matrix theme in place of what was actually there. is it possible for someone to remotely access and monitor your xbox via Screen Mirrroring or something similar.?? Because Its seems like ive been getting DDoS'ed off of most all of my xboxlive sessions, Im running 5G internet, and I am very close to my gateway, with almost little to nothing blocking the INFRA R. beams, and I just dont get it, is it possible for someone to mod my xbox without me realizing it? because my xbox litterally wont update, and on top of that, when I go to my Device Accessories, usually where it showed the connected headset, it was telling me, there was a wireless headset attached to my controller, but I never owned a wireless headset in my life, it is a wired headset, I've been hearing feedback through my headset when Im in a party by myself, like someone is on the other side listening, because I hear every once in a while the sound that a mic would make if you were to gently set a headset down on the table. I litterally hear someone breathing sometimes, before i freaked out real bad, I went to my settings in audio, and looked, and my Mic Monitoring was all the way down, so It was impossible for me to mistake my own noise as someone else's. this is also happening on my gaming laptop. please assist.

Corrupted/warped graphics on the Xbox dashboard and or in-game are symptomatic of hardware failure. It's not hacking or anything sinister like that. DDOS attacks can't damage your console, they're directed at your router/networking equipment. If you ever get DDOS'd you should contact your service provider. During a DDOS your console may have slow or intermittent internet and Live access but these attacks won't damage your console. It's not possible for someone to view your console remotely or install malicious software on it.

Your laptop is a entirely separate device and any issues you have with that will not be connected to issues with your console.

5G is not the best for gaming, it may look fast but can have extreme swings in latency and 5G has traffic management too.

the dash acting up could be a number of things but if its running slow and the dash being slow to update or load may indicate the internal hdd is about knacked. cheap mechanical hdd's that are used in the xbox ones can last anywhere from 6 months to 12 years, it is a complete lottery how long they will last.

i work with laptops everyday and the same can be said for those too, the one that still use mechanical drives are notorious for failing.

your headset maybe faulty with a very slight break in the cable causing what you are hearing, or is could be the connector.

nobody will be on your xbox.

do you use the same headset on your laptop too.

i am suprised they released this for xbox consoles with mechanical hdd's, the game is optimised for nvme ssd's etc. even high powered pc's running the game on a mechanical hdd has extremely slow loading times and can stutter, i run from nvme and it runs like melted butter.

I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox:

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

this didn’t work so i’m not sure what to do other than completely reset my xbox. but i’m not sure if it will work or be a complete waste of time.
