Xbox always scrolling down

I recently encountered an issue with my xbox one S where no matter what screen im on its always scrolling down like im holding the dpad down. I've tried multiple controllers and realized it even does it when my controller is off. I've tried the whole unplug
for 30 seconds thing but as soon as my console turns on its still scrolling down. I recently tried factory resetting it and ended up accidentally removing everything because it was scrolling down and I miss clicked from keep games and apps, but even though
it still factory reset it turned back on the the language screen and is still scrolling down...please help, it just passed its warranty so sending it back to xbox isn't really an option...

This is a problem i have too it usually is your controllers and i can't tell you the amount of times i've dropped my controllers so many times i can't count and usually this is a common problem for me and i would recommend two things

1. Buy a new controller and use rechargable batteries

2. reset your console by holding the button down for 10 seconds and unplug the xbox from your tv and wait 10-20 minutes

if this doesn't work i would recommend contacting xbox support at https://support.xbox.com/

Hi, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

There are system updates that change the dashboard. Thats how it works the hole time. The dashboard before the recent update wasn´t the same as on lunch of the Xbox One. The dashboards will always evolve. If you want to customise it just push
the Xbox logo on controller, scroll to your profile & system scroll down to customized guide tabs (right above settings).

Scroll down and select Alternate MAC Address
Select the Clear button
Select the Restart
