    Xbox Alpha Ring: Please for the love of god fix the disconnection problems.


    I am in the Alpha Preview Ring and I have just about had enough of the constant disconnects.

    This has been going on for MONTHS. I have my Xbox hooked up via cable, i have lost count of how many power resets,router resets and stuff i have done.

    I have Open Nat type and it is extremely frustrating to be consistently disconnected from my Xbox Parties(no notification of a dc even though i have all notifications on) and dcd from online games even with great internet.

    I have reported this time and time again through the Insider Hub report feature but it keeps happening time and time again.

    Please fix this Microsoft......you literally have the time and money to fix this problem.

    Hi Roy!

    I am sorry to know about what happened. I am assuming that you're experiencing a controller disconnection? It is a known issue which you can confirm via https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/...

    If you've tried everything, I am afraid that you would have to use a USB cable to use your controller properly for the meantime. Their advise is for you to report it for them to investigate the issue properly.

    There is currently a fix in the alpha and delta rings for the insider program to fix intermittant disconnects. MS is aware of the issue so hopefully a fix becomes widespread soon.

    This has been a known issue for a while now and acknowledged by the Xbox Preview team and were testing a fix for this issue in the Alpha ring back in December. Since then, there has been no updates but based on this

    article     I'm assuming the issue was resolved in the Alpha ring preview update but doesn't seem to have gone live yet. There could have been some setbacks or the issue re-surfaced.

    This was being tested in the Alpha ring, which is the first ring to test preview updates and requires an invitation to join, and has preview updates with the potential to have the most bugs so it's possible it's stalled in the Alpha ring.

    My suggestion is to report the issue through the Xbox Insider Hub app, which you can do so by the report a problem option in the power menu after you have the app downloaded.

    If you join the Insider program, eventually it should get pushed to the other preview rings and you can get the fix in an upcoming preview update before it would go live.

    This has supposedly been fixed, along with a bunch of other stuff, in an update that's available for people in the preview program (alpha ring) now.

    So, if you're in the alpha ring, check for updates and you should see it there ready to install.

    If you're not in the alpha ring, or you're not in the preview program at all, I expect they'll roll out an update with a bunch of fixes in it to the public fairly soon.

    Which insider ring are you on? A previous build of Alpha Skip came with disconnect issues, but has already been resolved with the new update.
