Xbox allows "Trash Talking" yet bans people.....

Trash talk is allowed within reason, but offensive words (even the slang forms) are still prohibited.

Examples are provided on the Community Standards website:

Acceptable trash talk includes

Get destroyed. Can’t believe you thought you were on my level.

That was some serious potato aim. Get wrecked.

Only reason you went positive was you spent all game camping. Try again, kid.

Cheap win. Come at me when you can actually drive without running cars off the road.

That sucked. Get good and then come back when your k/d’s over 1.



Going too far looks like

Get <sexual threat>. Can’t believe you thought you were on my level.

Hey <profanity>, that was some serious potato aim. Get wrecked, trash.

What are some examples of harassment?

Harassment encompasses a number of situations, including, but not limited to:

Obviously the person who you said that to didn't find it very friendly which is why they reported it. As the word sounds like the hard R word. That would be classed as offensive as the code of conduct clearly states you cant use words that look like
or sound like offensive words

trash talking when considered offensive will always get you a ban if a player reports you.

It's still not a word that's allowed on Live.

Yes they do ban for offensive words, racism and many other ways of talking trash so...hope that helps mate.
