Xbox all access - activation expiry and retrieve code

Hi,

I understand that i have to activate my 24 month all access through my Series X console. I currently already have the maximum 3 years of game pass ultimate so I cannot activate for 2 years due to the 3 year limit. I assume the ability to activate will stay on the console and won't expire? Also what happens if the console breaks in that time and has to be replaced. Can i retrieve a code from the console to activate online rather than through console at a later date in case that happens?
