  1. Xbox Adaptive Controller Mapping issue

    Hi there,

Today, I was surprised with an Xbox Adaptive Controller and also a Logitech set of buttons v for the Xbox Adaptive Controller. I'm having an issue with actually mapping the A and B button on the actual controller. Below, you'll see a picture of how I'm trying to do my set up with my button labels. You'll notice that the controller itself is upside down because I want the d pad on the right and I'm trying to map that as left stick so I can use it with my right hand and be close to the A,B,X,Y buttons. I change the big button or A to my LT trigger but then the A button that is plugged in remaps to LT and When I map my A button on the side there the A button on the adaptive controller remaps from LT back to A. I'm so confused. Can I not remap my A button on the controller to LT and if so can I use my A button that I have plugged into the A slot as my A button?

    Xbox One Unmapping problem

    Hello Volcannon,

We understand the frustration with this issue. With the current button mapping on the console itself it is very limited. You can look into getting the adaptive controller and get controller with it. Through the adaptive controller there are many ways to
configure and map buttons, movement, etc. here are a few links to check out.

    You can also go to
    Xbox ideas
to submit a suggestion to have it as a function of the button mapping.

    Hope this helps out.

    Thanks,

    Brad

    Xbox Adaptive Controller Mapping issue

Hi and thanks for reaching Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.

Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

I'll be happy to assist you out today.

Hope you're doing great today Trevor

May I know what happens if you try first mapping LT trigger to A?

And then try map A button again (so, as A button usually is used to select things, you may need to press LT instead, as you mapped it first>)

So, if you finally was not able to remap properly A button this means that by default is not possible to map it due to the A is used mostly to select or hit "enter"

    Xbox Adaptive Controller set up

    Hi there Warrior,

Thanks for the update on the issue with mapping the Adaptive controller. As mentioned by the Ambassador, the A button will need to mapped.
The controller by design will need the A and B button to navigate on the Xbox Operating system. I recommend checking out the accessories : Xbox

    Hope this helps.

    Adaptive accessories

    Hello there,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your questions. As the adaptive controller is a newer controller there are many ways to change the functionality of the adaptive controller. Here is the

    adaptive controller FAQ
. Most all functions can be changed or re-mapped through the Xbox accessories app.

Hope this helps with your inquiry.

    Thanks,

    Brad
