Xbox Adaptive Controller issue - Joystick buttons being detected wrong

    Hello all,

I'm trying to set up my Xbox Adaptive Controller on my PC but the buttons on the joysticks are mapped incorrectly and don't seem to change when I remap them. In Test Mode the following are what I'm pressing and what are being detected:

    • LB - L-Up
    • LT - L-Down
    • RB - Start
    • RT - Back
I've tried resetting it and updating but they don't seem to help.

    :)

Yes to Xbox Accessories as well. I used it to reset the mapping to default as well but did not seem to change anything.

    Thanks,

Yes to all. I'm using two of the identical PDP one-handed joysticks on Windows 10. My operating system is also currently updated.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the link. I tried his procedure and it did not seem to work. From what I can tell, the joysticks aren't detecting the map configuration. For instance, if I remap "LB" to "Y" for example, the 3.5 mm switch in LB will detect "Y" but LB on the nunchuk will still detect X1.

    Hi Lucas,

Thank you for the response. I went through the troubleshooting link and was able to determine that the LB/LT buttons are actually detecting X1/X2 respectively. I also tested each of the 3.5mm ports and they are responding correctly. The issue seems to only effect the joysticks themselves (these are the original nunchuck style joysticks originally released with the system). None of the proposed solutions seemed to have an effect however. As it is effecting both joysticks and does not matter if I reverse which port they are plugged into, I wonder if there might be a software issue. I haven't used these in a while but they were working correctly about 8 months ago when I last did.

Are there further steps I can take? Thanks again
