    XBox adapter not working with the computer


    Hi everyone

    I recently moved the place of my PC from one corner of my house to the another corner. My XBox adapter for XBox one controller was working with the PC before, and I was able to connect two controllers with the same adapter as well. Now after starting my
    PC here, I am not able to connnect any controller for that matter with the adapter. I thought that the adapter may be broken, so I bought the new adapter to see if it can help, but that doesn,t work either.

    I have double checked the software on the computer as well as the controllers, and both the firmwares are updated. The adapter, when it connects, shows the white light flashing (means it is searching for controller) and the controller light in the 'X' button
    also flashes (means it is searching and ready to be paired, but that doesn't work out.

    Please, need help on this. I know my PC is up to date and I didn't install any updates/softwares after I moved my PC, so there is something that needs to be done with the adapter update (as far as I believe). I have already tried updating the adapter firmware,
    with no luck working whatsoever.

    Any kind of help would be appreciated.

    Forcing me to buy Xbox Brand Wireless Adapter?

    What adapter are you trying to use? If it isn't the xbox brand one then it either doesn't work or if it's one that uses ethernet then it has to be configured on a computer first. Most third party adapters don't recognize on the console because their software
    requires a computer to configure it to your network.

    Are you able to test it on another computer to see if it works? Just so we can rule out that this is not the Xbox one Bluetooth adapter becoming faulty.

    Hi and thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. Please allow me to assist with your issue.

    Try connecting the controller using a Micro-USB cable to the computer. This will no longer require the wireless controller adapter.

    If the controller is working, then it is the wireless adapter that is not functioning. You may try testing it with another computer. If it doesn't work with another computer as well, your wireless adapter for the controller is faulty and should be replaced.
