    Xbox acting strange...please help?


    I'll try to be as detailed as I can. My xbox started acting funny last night. I was on it for a while and it was perfectly fine...in a party with friends playing games and everything was fine. Then out of nowhere my game froze...so I turned the game off.
    Tried to reload it and it froze in the middle of the start up screen before even entering the actual game. Turned it off again and then noticed most things on my dashboard were not loading. Then I was not able to start up any game or app, it was telling me
    there was an error loading it.

    I decided to turn off my console...but it would not turn off, it became unresponsive. I had to do the hard reset. I turned it back on to see if anything would load and it took a very long time to load anything before telling my I had to try and restart again
    or try troubleshooting for the issue, also recommending going to xboxone/support/startuperror or something along those lines but the site would not load for me. I tried to restart it again and it finally worked after almost 5 minutes... I signed in but then
    the dashboard continued to freeze on me. I turn it back off using my controller. It just went to a black screen and the power button kept flashing. I left it that way for about 20-30 minutes before unplugging it and leaving it that way the rest of the night.

    I get home from work this morning and it starts up fine with no issues...I load xbox video and watch an episode of a tv series which was about 45 minutes long. I exit the app and tried a minute later try to load it up again deciding I wanted to watch more but
    it would not launch. I tried launching a game and none of them launched. Then the dashboard started freezing on me again. I try to turn it off but once again it is stuck on a black screen and the power button is flashing again...and this has been going on
    for about 30 minutes without shutting down. Can anyone tell me what is going on? Should I just leave it and see if stops flashing? I know that most of the time that means it's doing background updating or whatever but it just seems very strange. I am in the
    preview program too if that makes any difference. Is my console failing on me?

    Updates acting strange please help.

    So i noticed whenever I put in a game that needs an update the first thing my xbox does is log me out it still asks for the update however. I click yes it seems to download then goes back to the game and logs me back in. I try to start the game again and
    it doesnt ask me to update the game anymore. I also noticed that when I try to update an Indie game it doesnt update at all it pressing X for yes I want to update doesnt do a thing I can tell its not doing anything because the x will highlight itself every
    time i press it on the screen so solutions to these?

    Signing you out when you update a platform game is standard and when it completes the game will restart and sign you back in. For indie games im not sure, Sorry.

    Xbox controller acting strangely

    Try hooking up the controller to the console wired for 15 minutes without a battery. Just letting it sit there, power the controller off, then try it again. If that doesn't fix your problem, contact Repairs for Xbox. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/browse/xbox-one/warranties-and-repair

    Have you checked that the controls are properly configured?

    1) Open the "Settings" application.

    2) Select "Accessibility".

    3) Select "Controls".

    4) Select "Buttons".

    Check that the buttons are correctly assigned.

    If not, the controller may be defective.

    To check this, try connecting the controller to another console or PC. If you have problems with the controller on another console or PC, then the problem is related to the controller. In this case, you may need to replace the controller.
