xbox account settings

I've had a Mojang account for ages and I only just migrated it yesterday everything was working fine until today when i opened minecraft and multiplayer and realms were grayed out, it said I needed to change some settings. I went to do that but when i did it just consistently brought me here https://support.xbox.com/en-AU/help...e-safety/manage-app-privacy-settings-xbox-one almost every where i clicked brought me there (i am playing on computer btw) and I couldn't go to account settings if I tried to type the settings link in directly it would override it and bring me there my account is registered as a child but I dont know if that has anything to do with this. I just want to play on multiplayer and realms. anyone know how to fix this.

If your account is in a family group, leave the group and try changing the settings again. If your account is a minor, you will need to be in a family group with an adult so that they can adjust these account settings.

Sign in to your Microsoft account.
https://www.xbox.com/
Select your gamertag, and then select the More actions button (…).
Select Xbox settings, and then select Privacy & online safety.

Note Because you’re accessing sensitive info, you may have to enter your password or passkey.

Select the gamertag for the child account that you want to manage.

Select either the Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety tab or the Privacy tab.
Review the current settings and update any that you want to change, and then select Submit to save the changes.

Note You must select Submit at the bottom of the page before leaving or switching to another tab. If you don't submit the changes before you move to the other tab, your changes won't be saved.

Have the member sign in and then sign out of their account on the console to make sure the changes take effect.

I can't even do that as the moment I click Xbox Settings, it still redirects me to the article about why I can't change my privacy settings.

If your account is a minor your parent or legal guardian has to do this for you following the instructions I mentioned.

I'm sorry to hear that. To be honest with you, looks like the system is detecting that you own a child account as you won't be able to see the page if it's considered as child.

If it's not considered as adult, you really need to add your account to a family account so you can change the settings. Here's how to add your account under a family account.

There is no way to change the birthdate on an Xbox account once it is created.
