xbox account problems

I set up an account using this email address. I couldn't sign in last night so i phoned support and they had me delete my account and re sign in only to find my games were no longer on my account and i had to reset my gamer tag. to make matters worse customer
suport is now closed and i cant use the chat function because its aking me to put my name in an unusable text box. any help would be aprecciated

Microsoft Account Verification Problem

I've just bought an xbox one and created a new Microsoft account to use on xbox live as my son uses my old account. I logged into the xbox website with no problems and changed my gamertag to the one I want. So then I tried to setup my account on my xbox one and get to the stage where it sends a verification e-mail, no problem I thought, checked my e-mail account nothing, tried again nothing and again, left it a few hours nothing. This was Tuesday night and it will not send a verification e-mail. After a search I tried to verify my Microsoft account onm their website and it always comes up with a 'temporary problem, try gain later' screen.

So basically I can't use the new xbox one I've had sitting there for 2 days until this gets resolved, Anybody goy any answers as I can't face phoning Microsoft customer services.Cheers

Xbox 1 sign in

I had the same problem, you need to delete the account of your xbox after that u can add the account back.
Maybe that will also work for you.

Hi kezza n ezza!

Just to clarify what you mean by "reset your gamertag", are you referring to setting it back again to its original one? The same one you deleted from the console as what the support mentioned? If yes, then there's a possibility that the account you're using
on the forums right now is not the one you've just deleted. Games cannot be removed from an account once you've bought them. You own the license and they can't remove it or transfer it on another account.

You have some great answers to help with your issue. I would recommend a service like lastpass to securely store your passwords etc. So this never happens again. I've been in your shoes..

Xbox Support directly to see if they can help you get back into your account. You should find a secure place to keep your email address and password so you will always have access to it.

I'm sorry to hear this is currently happening. If you're an adult, but you got a message asking for parental consent, it's because you're a child in your Microsoft family. Even if you're over the age of 18, you can still be a child in Microsoft family.

Now, I do see that you mention that it doesn't show up on your end that you're under a family. By any chance do you recall ever being part of a family before and removing yourself from it? Reason I ask is due to the fact this is one of the main drivers
that prompt your account to be restricted.

If not we do have another option to prove you're an adult. The other option would be to fill out the
Age verification form.You
