Xbox account problems

So Xbox thinks that my account is a child account and has restricted almost everything through the service. When I tried to see if I’m in a family group I’m told that I am not a part of one. I have to tried to change my privacy and content settings through
the website but it keeps putting me to a page that tells me to do what I am already doing. It just ends up to be an endless loop and I am getting nowhere. I have tried calling support, but they just tell me to go here and then just hang up. I have even tried
changing my birthdate to see if anything would change, but to no avail. Is there any way that I can fix this problem.

You have some great answers to help with your issue. I would recommend a service like lastpass to securely store your passwords etc. So this never happens again. I've been in your shoes..

Xbox Support directly to see if they can help you get back into your account. You should find a secure place to keep your email address and password so you will always have access to it.

I'm sorry to hear this is currently happening. If you're an adult, but you got a message asking for parental consent, it's because you're a child in your Microsoft family. Even if you're over the age of 18, you can still be a child in Microsoft family.

Now, I do see that you mention that it doesn't show up on your end that you're under a family. By any chance do you recall ever being part of a family before and removing yourself from it? Reason I ask is due to the fact this is one of the main drivers
that prompt your account to be restricted.

If not we do have another option to prove you're an adult. The other option would be to fill out the
Age verification form.You
cansubmit proof of age by filling out theAge verification Request.
