Xbox account is it possible to move save files?

Hi!

My 13-year old son has been playing xbox many years at my xbox account. Now I finaly made an account for him. Many games for example jurassic world evolution 2, he has played at my account. But now if he use his own account he need to start from the beginning. The game is at a disc, and we use the same xbox one console.

Is it possible to move save files to his account from mine? And in that case how do we do that?

Good question. I'm really sorry but I would like to be honest with you that those game progress or save files are non-transferrable and it will stay intact on the account. If he wants to use a completely different account, I'm afraid he needs to start from the beginning. I hope you understand.

You cannot move save files to another account. Save files are attached to the account that made them.

I believe that some Xbox original games did not allow for moving or copying their save files. I could be wrong but it might not be possible.

It is possible the save file was locked to the device (can happen).

(These are clearly restrictions MS put into place mind you).

Maybe for wholesale moves, but it's possible to also select what is moved and what is not.

Xbox files are not meant to be seen by a PC and moved back and forth. So something would have had to happen for your PC to see the files. Unfortunately, unless you had them backed up some other way, it would not be possible for you to move the saves back
to your console.
