    My xbox account was hacked yesterday night around 6pm and my recovery email,phone number and password was changed so i cannot access the account whatsoever. I have filled out a recovery request form and minutes later i recieved a email stating” It
    looks like you just used the Microsoft account recovery form (https://account.live.com/acsr) to request a password reset for L: *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***.
    Because you've turned on two-step verification for your account, we ignore these requests but wanted to let you know.” Since two step verification is enabled, a recovery form is useless. Ive called microsoft support four times and was giving 3 different “solutions”.
    The first solution was filling out the recovery form once again to no avail and being re-assured that the microsoft team will read it, the next solution was to wait 30 days since my two step verification info was changed and the account will be locked for
    those 30 day. Once the 30 days were up, contact microsoft to continue with the matter but yet i can still see the hacker online playing the game purchased on my account. The final solution was to get the microsoft escalation team involved so i gave the information
    needed as in console id and so on just to get a email saying that the information i provided was incorrect and they will not be moving forward with the investigation. Im just frustrated at this point because the recovery form has all the info i need to prove
    my ownership of the account yet they wont even see it. I would be fine with the account if i never got it back but knowing this account has been with me for over 5 year and has 97 games digitally purchased makes it even more frustrating! I dont know what to
    do at this point anymore. If theres anyways to get this situated i will do so, i have all the info needed to prove who i am. Please help, im begging you

    Hi, sorry to hear that happened. I would make sure to follow the steps in
    this guide     regarding recovering a hacked or compromised Xbox/Microsoft account. Once you are able to recover your account, I would also recommend looking into

    two-factor verification     as a means of account security in the future. I hope these guides can help you out!

    I would like to clarify, is this through Microsoft Store or for the in-game marketplace?

    to use two-step verification with your Microsoft account     article.

    If you weren't able to regain access to your account after that, you might be out of luck though.

    For hacks on a specific game contact the developer. For your account i would recommend the two step verification. That makes you account more safe than the normal one. Also if the hack apeared on the xbox Block an report the person. In that case the Enforcement
    Team could take a view on the case.

    Xbox Two Step Verification

    Apparently, two step verification is very finicky. Here is what I mean. When I log into my Microsoft account on my desktop, where I enter my password there is also an option that says other ways to sign in. I click that and choose use authentication app. I then verify my sign in and now my Xbox will ask me to verify my sign in with the authentication app. However, when I sign in to my Microsoft account with my iPhone, where I enter my password, there is an option that says, use authentication app and not other ways to sign in. So I click on use authentication app, and verify my sign in. Using this method makes my sign in with my Xbox skip verification. Why is this? BTW, when I use my iPhone to sign into my Microsoft account, I am using Safari.
