Xbox account funds issue

A few days ago i added a xbox gift card to my account i went to purchase some neverwinter zen but despite having added $40nzd the store said that i only had $8.96nzd so i had to called xbox support and they ended up having to make the purchase for me.

The next day i performed a factory reset on my xbox one which fixed the issue or so I thought because today i again used a gift card and now have an issue where even though I have $1.71nzd left yet according to the store i have $41.61nzd on my account and
i don't want to have to reset my console everytime i add funds, so does anyone have any idea of how to permanently fix this, i am in the Xbox insider program so don't know if that has anything to do with it but I've never had this problem before

This looks like a problem with your account. Sign in at https://account.microsoft.com and make sure you have the currency listed in your account. If you still have problems, you may need to contact support again to have them review your account.

I went to my microsoft account and it shows the correct amount so i think it is a bug with the store as when i go into the xbox store via console and pick any game and hit the buy option it will bring up a small banner saying microsoft account balance with
a figure next to it and the word change at the end, so if i click on it it brings up a similar banner that shows the correct amount in my account so i think its an issue with the store itself as my account appears to be ok and like i said i have done a factory
reset which fixed the issue until I added more funds and spent it .

I have discovered that the problem is with new games, some high rated and some dlc that show the incorrect amount in my account

an error when trying to add funds I suggest
Contacting Customer Support for further assistance with any billing issues. I hope this information was helpful in resolving the issue.
