Xbox account displaying my real name even though I said not to in the settings.

it will show you your name obviously, but your friends won't see the name.

Hello, since you have already selected for your name not to be displayed, I invite you to follow the steps on this link Real name sharing on Xbox | Xbox Support. After you change your settings try performing a power cycle on your console.

Make sure she has her setting set up to share her real name (support.xbox.com/.../real-name-sharing). The account.live.com website is used to change the name on
her account if it doesn't display the correct name.

The upper left of the console will only display the gamertag.

This real name, as I just posted elsewhere, I really don't see the point of this, I wouldn't display it, my friends know my name anyway and I certainly wouldn't display for random people to see even though you can set it for friends only.

For me it's just a pointless feature.
