    Hello.

    I entered a 10 pound xbox gift card into my account 20 minutes ago but instead of it updating on the store it says I have 7 pounds in my account which I had before but in the payment and billing section of settings it says that I have 17 pounds.

    I have tried turning my xbox off and on and doing a power cycle but it still doesn't seem to update someone help if you can.

    I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps here:

    After each step try to see if the issue is fixed!

    First, please select System > Settings > account > remove accounts and then select your account and select Remove to confirm.

    Then, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2-3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox.

    If the issue persists, please select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

    If you are still encountering the same issue, please select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps

    Purchasing games

    You can use your Microsoft account balance if you make the purchase from a 360. The One store has never been updated to work with Microsoft account balance for 360 or original Xbox game purchases.

    it sounds like there is a balance on your account. as a customer you are able to update the payment method on the account how ever if there is a balance that will not transfer, I would suggest calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX (1-800-469-9269)

    The Xbox One/website have never been updated to work with your Microsoft account balance to purchase 360 content. The only way to use your balance would be to make the purchase from a 360 console.

    The site isn't updated yet, so Microsoft account balance cannot be used on the website. You'll have to purchase from the console if you want to use your Microsoft account balance.
