Xbox Accessories App: Remapping Triggers

I have been through a few forums regarding this topic and have gained good explanations and reasoning. However, in the Xbox Accessories App, the reason I am trying to remap my triggers is so that I can shoot (in FPS games) with my right bumper (RB), and aim down sights with left trigger (LT).

In FPS games, we already have the option to play flipped which means shooting and ADSing with bumpers (RB + LB) instead of triggers (RT +LT). If I had the option to swap left bumper with left trigger in the Xbox Accessories App, it would allow me to play my preferred way.

Since we can already flip flop between both bumpers and triggers to shoot and aim, it seems plausible that we could use one of each depending on comfortability. Even though RB and LB are buttons, they are different in the sense that we can use them similarly to triggers which is unlike the rest of the buttons on the gamepad. I realize it's a unique request, but I'm just curious if this could be a possibility at all. Thanks!

However, I would also like to point out that, where customization is limited on regular Xbox Controllers, you can customize and remap just about everything on an Xbox Elite Wireless Series 2 controller with the Xbox Accessories app.

You can make up to 3 profiles for different set ups for different games. (Forza specific set-up, Halo, specific, etc.) to play your preferred way.

So you can make your LB act like RT, or vice-versa. You even have additional (removable) paddles on the back of the controller for extra control and customization.

I see your point but I mean I want buttons to be remappable in general. Not sure who that really falls on the game dev or the company designing the console. I only want certain buttons remapped on certain games so I'm more inclined to put the responsibility
on the game dev, but some native remapping isn't exactly a horrible plan either.

That's why you can download the Xbox Accesories App for the One and remap controllers. Micorsot thought of a lot of situations.

But not every one It is an incomplete mapping system. I found 2 flaws. One is x-axis flipping, and the other is triggers only being remapped to triggers when an "all digital / Fight stick" mode is needed to complete the Accessories App OS remapping situation.

Since Microsoft tok it upon themseves to make their controlelrs all remappable, these are extra features that can be downloaded.

Definitely possible throught the xbox accessories app, lots of remapping can be done there for the whole controller!
