Xbox Accessories app ins't letting me configure my Elite Series 2 controller

I keep getting an error that I need the Identity Provider app installed and to be signed in to the Xbox app and I already have everything installed and fully updated and am signed in on the Xbox app. It recognizes my controller but I can't do anything to it. I want to configure the back buttons to work but sadly am getting nowhere.

Hello,

Please try to download and install the Xbox Identity Provider, and if you have it downloaded already, uninstall it and reinstall it. Restart your computer, then try again.

Of course, make sure your PC is completely up to date.

I managed to fix it by downloading and installing the Xbox Console Companion app. I hope it works for you too.

That's the thing. You cant uninstall or reinstall as the identity provider app doesn't show anything after you hit get etc? No option to download and install

Hey what's up man. Did you ever find a solution?. Im currently having the same problem setting up my new controller. Mad annoying lol. Thanks

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. You can use the Xbox Accessories app to configure your Elite controller, or reset the configuration via a PC.
