"Xbox Accessories" App does not appear in my App Store.

Actually I ended up digging thru the depths of "All Settings" and finding out that the Xbox Accessories app was already installed under "controller" or something. It definitely wasn't just an App that was available! thanks microsoft...

Hi! You should have had a code included within your Xbox Elite Controller packaging for this. The redeem code should allow you to download the app.

I managed to fix this just recently

It appears to be an issue with the way the windows apps interact and update.

I had recently installed the xbox accessories app from the microsoft store but it never told me it needed a firmware update when connecting the controller.

What fixed it was using the store to update the MS store app, then deleting and reinstalling the xbox accessories app.

After that when I connected the accessories app told me of an update and the screen with the 3 dots looked different generally, like I had a more recent version of the accessories app, although I can't be certain.

What hasn't been "fixed" though is the installing of the HID keyboard device with an inactive or not working driver.

I've ignored that now as it doesn't seem to be doing any harm but I do wonder why that's appearing at all

Are you speaking of the Xbox Accessories app? Just search for "Xbox Accessories" in the Windows 10 Store and you can use that app to configure your Elite controller for your Windows 10 device.

Does the controller appear in the Xbox Accessories app on PC when you plug it in with the wire?

Do you have an Xbox console?
