    Xbox accessibility controller works perfect in dashboard but not in game.


    With my Xbox series X I have the Xbox accessibility controller with the Xbox button attachments. I’ve been using it perfectly for a year now. After I updated the Witcher 3 whenever I am in a game only 1 out of 10 button presses work. I copilot with a regular controller, and all the buttons work properly on the regular controller. After playing a game for a while, the buttons randomly start working properly again, but then the game crashes soon after. What should I do?

    The accessibility controller has recently received an update, and while we're at it let's make sure the other one is updated as well

    Please open the Xbox accessories app and plug the controllers in via USB. You will get a prompt to update them.

    Hopefully that will work out for you. If it doesn't you should contact Witcher support since the problem is isolated to their game, they are the ones most able to fix it

    I reset the console like you said, however, when I copilot the accessibility controller with the regular one, it’s still not working properly. Now instead of the accessibility controller being delayed, it’s the regular one. When I turn off copilot, they both work properly in game but obviously can’t be used at the same time which I need. So far, I only have this problem playing the Witcher 3 after the new update and Disney Dreamlight, both of which will randomly crash as well ( just saying in case it’s relevant.)

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

    ​​​

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    Reset and keep my games & apps.

    I have been having trouble accepting invites or jointing “looking for group” when I go to stream and then hit play and a message appears saying “controller disconnected” was working fine for months

    That’s perfect, then and to check if it’s the app, server or the controller, do you have a different controller that we can try to use?

    Also, can you please try signing in to https://xbox.com/play and try accessing cloud gaming feature from there to see if it will work?
