XBOX 360S PAL version won't read PAL games

Once again I am pretty sure that those games are PAL. The MGS was purchased in France, brand new, and worked just fine on another xbox. Plus, the discs do have PAL printed on them. Those discs are definitely not NTSC or I would not be complaining here...

The only message I have when I try to launch these games is the one telling me that the disc's code region is incorrect for this console. The console does not behave differently when I insert the discs, apart from the fact that it won't launch the games
obviously ^^

It's very possible that the 2 discs not working are not actually PAL but NTSC format, which could be possible for used games. I don't think the format is actually listed on the discs or box and the only way to know what region a disc is from is to simply
test it on a device coded for the region you are trying to test. If you purchased that Xbox 360 new from a PAL region, and can confirm it is PAL if it works with other PAL coded discs, then the two discs not working are NTSC. There is really nothing to troubleshoot
if other games work fine but these two don't, it's just that they are not PAL and could've been originally purchased from a NTSC coded region.

Thank you for the information. This is a very odd situation where I'm still not sure if the issue lies with your console or the discs. Initially I believe it had to be the discs since these two were not working on your Xbox but other's that are also PAL
were working fine. However, you say that MGS worked fine on another Xbox (which I'm, assuming is a PAL Xbox 360 as well) so that means the discs themselves may not be the issue so understandably that's where it becomes difficult in trying to pinpoint the reason
for this issue.

I suggest clearing the
system cache and if that doesn't work you may need to re-install the system update. To do this:

1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
2. Go to settings and select System.
3. Select Storage.
4. Enter the following button sequence: X, LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X.
   
5. Select the option to roll back all system updates that are installed. The console will restart automatically and then download the updates again.
   

Let us know what the results are.

• What sort of messages do you receive whenever you try to launch those games?
• Does it just tell you that these games are region lock?
• Does you console behave differently when you insert these games?
