Xbox 360's latest update rant!

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the GwG and purchased titles are married to my Electro account?

I mean, you can't just buy Digital games and play them on other accounts can you?

The other two accounts are Silver - 2 360 consoles are 4gb Slim models, and one is the latest E model. All 3 have internal HDDS (250 - 500gb Official Hdd, purchased separately) and all 3 have the same issues.

I am tempted to call support, but am afraid that if I do they'll say. "Send in for repair." Which, at present. I cannot afford to do with even 1 of the 3 consoles.

So I guess I'll simply have to live with it and hope MS patches this update sometime in the near

future. But will not be holding my breath for it.

 

I'm pretty sure digital purchases are tied to the account *and* the console you first downloaded it on. So you should be able to play a game under any account while using the first console you originally downloaded it to. You should also be able to use other
apps like YouTube with a silver account to make sure the issue isn't somehow tied to your account.

You're probably right about support, but it might not hurt to give them a call. Or if you don't have a lot of info stored on one of the consoles then it might be worth trying a factory reset too and see if that helps.

 

I have the exact same issue after the update. The issue is in both 'my games' and 'my pins'. The apps and game fail to launch the first time. You get a loading screen, like you hit X for more info, but you didn't, then you hit B and try again. Some other
lunch the fist time, while others don't. I can almost guarantee it is update related based on the timing of the issue.

 

It is an update issue.

I was using my 360 to navigate through the games list looking for possible games to purchase, when the update came. I clicked update and away it went.

When it finally updated, I resumed my search through the C's game list. Only now, when clicking on a game title to see the price... Loading for over 10 minutes. So I reset my wireless.. No help. I then check my connection via the console.. Everything good,
in fact 12mbps which is 2 mbps better than what I pay for but still... Loading for well over 10 minutes on the games.

Go to check my apps, and except for Netflix. Nothing launches on the initial hit.

So it is the update that is the issue. And that issue still persists.

Just now, October 21 @ 4:32 AM A month after the console update, the aps finally launch on the first hit.

The games under MY Games tab finally load past game 4 and also launches on the 1st try.

Now, it didn't just magically debug itself. So thank you MS for FINALLY patching your latest software blunder. Sure took ya long enough!
