Xbox 360s freezes and loses video signal

I have an Xbox 360s that all of the sudden started freezing shorty after powering on. Sometimes I can get into a game, other times I can barely make it to the home page. Immediately after it freezes, the video signal is lost while the console stays powered
on, and then the CPU fan starts whirring very loudly. The power button doesn't respond, so it has to be unplugged to power off. I have tried clearing the system cache, removing the hard drive and running the system yet it still freezes. Any ideas as to the
    cause of this problem?

    :)

  2. Cisco 8742 HDC - DVR/Cable box, Routing through x-one makes it constantly try to change resolutions

Ive tried both boxes in my home, but routing them through the xbox one makes them constantly try to output through different resolutions making tv constantly freeze and lose signal through the xbox one, is this box incompatible or is there a workaround?

    Losing TV/cable signal need help

Have a TiVo box via RCN Cable. Worked perfectly for 2 weeks, then yesterday plays for 15 secs, then freezes for 30, and so on and so forth, intermittently losing signal completely. Troubleshot everything with the cable box, then called cable co to have
them send a new box. Only after that did I remove the hdmi cable from the xbox one and directly connect to tv and guess what, no problems. Ran it through xbox again and same problem, freezes then plays freezes and plays, and intermittently loses the signal
completely. Very frustrating as I loved having the tv play through the box but feel am forced to switch back to direct connection, as the xbox is now rendering video unwatchable. Obviously has NOTHING to do with hdmi cables and surely NOT a hardware issue
as it worked perfectly for two weeks. Please fix a.s.a.p. and push out an update.

Okey, i think the video card is damaged or an other hardware compound. Sorry but you can call the Microsoft support to send your console to repair.

HDMI Passthrough issues when using HTPC

My HTPC device has the freezing issue. I can force it to work by using my tablet to remotely force playback of video. But if I stop a video or go to the menu screen the picture freezes as if the Xbox has stopped recognising the signal. I have tried turning
HDMI-CEC off on the media device but with no change in behaviour.

Xbox one keeps losing video signal

    Hi ExactablePuppy4,

Sorry you're having issues with your display cutting out. The first thing I would suggest you try is another HDMI cable to see if the issue persists. If it does, then I would suggest trying a different port on your TV. If those do not fix it, then
go to your display settings, and change the resolution from "Autodetect" to the one that best matches your TV resolution. If it still happens after that, then try a different TV. That would tell you if it's a TV or Xbox issue.

Can't play any movies or apps

Do you route your Xbox 360 TV signal through a PC or game capture device before it gets to your TV?

I know this can cause issues with disc based movies.

Does the whole console freeze? Do you hear the audio playing and just get a static image or is it as if someone pressed pause on the video?
