Xbox 360S Disc Tray Issues

So the other day I was playing MW2 and went to grab my stack of games to find a different game to play. As I went over to place the new disc in the tray, I accidentally hit it trying to catch a disc I dropped out of the stack, knocking it out of place I
assume, and the whole thing got messed up. I looked around online and found how to get it back onto the track, and was able to slide it almost closed, but the tray is now seemingly stuck against something, and I can't get it shut the rest of the way, and even
if I did it seems like it would still be jammed. I then tried to manually eject the tray using the paper clip method, but the tray only popped out slightly, and only moved a small amount.

Please help as this is really getting on my nerves. Thanks.

XBOX 360 disc tray keeps jamming

So my 360's tray keeps jamming...
The 360 it's self is fine but trying to open the disc tray sometimes is a real chore.

And yes the PS3 is a recent addition and the consoles were never on top of each other, which should never be an issue as the 360 had a metal case inside protecting it.

Buy a new one or contact Support for repair.

It sounds like you damaged something inside. Maybe even the rubber band part that open and closes the tray got loose. It's probably best to get it repaired or buy a new one. I have no idea on how to fix a problem like this.

The only way to check what is wrong is to open up the console and manually inspect it.

Here's my solution if you haven't yet.

-Remove Fallout New Vegas disc from Xbox 360 tray

-Place Fallout 3 disc in Xbox 360 tray

-Success

Seems like to me the disc tray is stuck or the button has malfunctioned. There is a way to eject the tray in case you get a disc stuck in the system. Here is the links below on how to do it.

If I had to guess, I would say both of your 360's need to be fixed. I have had disc tray problems with 3 separate xbox 360's, each one was a disc tray issue similar to what you describe. Some games took a long time to work, others didn't want to work at
all, sometimes I would have to open and close my disc tray dozens of times to get a game to work.

The reason it doesn't work is because something is broken inside of your disc tray, or something that deals with your disc tray functionality.

Like I said, this is just a guess.
