Xbox 360s blank screen and a solid red dot in the middle

Hii There, I own an xbox 360s that I had purchased brand new.

About 8 months into owning it, My cousins and I were gaming on it for a solid 4 hours or more. While gaming the xbox froze and a red dot in the middle had appeared, I switched it off and left it for a few days , turned it back on and it worked fine with
a few screen glitches. the very next day I turned it on and the blank screen with the red dot had appeared again, I used the controller to turn it on yet the controller never connects to the xbox. I had misplaced my receipt so there was no chance of getting
it repaired through warranty.

i gave up on it for a little while , recently i hooked it back up with no HDD and it worked for that few minutes until I turned it off and it never came back on. i left it for a few days again but no luck with getting it to boot up, the power supply goes
from yellow to green and back to yellow as always, i switched between HDMI and RCA still no luck, the fan works fine , the disk drives works cause i had to install a game when it started up.

I borrowed my mates HDD and power supply to test and hope for results but it was negative.

I really want to get back into gaming on my console, yet all i get now is that god forsaken red dot with a blank screen, I timed the transition from green to red on the console and it takes more or less 30 seconds to go red , the red light is only in the
middle though and my tv picks up "no signal" from start up yet it picks up the fact that there is something pulling power in the HDMI slot. The fan runs upon start up, so does the CD drive.

I miss gaming so much.

Hello, my Xbox Slim has been down for some time now. I have changed out the cord, let it sit for days (30) and it still is not working for my. When the Xbox is turned on, the TV shows a blank screen and the dot in the middle that should be green is red.
There are not other red presented on the console. I have followed all the directions in the forum on how to fix he Xbox. Is there something else that should be done or is it time to trash this Xbox.
