    I have an Xbox 360E that I purchased a little over a year ago. It sat boxed for over 6 months before it saw use. Ever since we started using it, it has had problems with freezing. The problems progressed to the point where the system is unusable. I contacted
    Microsoft Support just prior to my warranty running out and sent it in for repair. It has since been sent in two additional times for repair. Microsoft has completely failed to fix the problem. I have asked them just to swap it out for a refurbished system,
    but apparently they won't do that. I need a way to escalate this issue, but I just keep being told by Support to send it back in for repair. This is getting ridiculous. I need to talk to someone with some authority and get this issue resolved.

    The symptom is that the system freezes up completely within seconds or minutes of start up. When it freezes the video remains frozen and the controller is unresponsive. The only thing that can be done is to power off the system from the front panel. If
    left alone, eventually the video will turn to a "static"-y image. This freeze up can happen in Dashboard, while watching a DVD, streaming Netflix, or playing a game... anything. The system is not overheating (despite what Support seems to think). It is
    on a glass shelf not near any other equipment, situated horizontally. At Support's request, I moved it farther from other electronics and stood it vertically. This did nothing to help -- in fact, in this case I witnessed a very poor video signal before the
    freeze.

    I have a lemon, and I just need to get someone's attention to get this system swapped for something that works. I am not sending it back for repair. It needs to be replaced. Is there anyone who has an email address of someone who can assist me with this?

    xbox 360 freezing / locking up when connected to my WD N900 router

    I have followed all the instructions on the Xbox 360 Screen Freeze Solution guide here but my xbox 360 pro continues
    to freeze when it is connected to the internet via my Western Digital My Net N900 router (via ethernet/wired).

    After lots of experimentation, I am able to say that it is the combination of my WD N900 router that Xbox 360 freezes / locks up after 2-5 minutes of use. None of my other two dozen devices (PCs, laptop, tablets, smart phones, iPad, HD HomeRun Prime, etc.)
    has any trouble with this router.

    My Xbox also recently received a system update a week or so ago, but it still locks up within 5 minutes of use.

    Is there something wrong with my Xbox's network card / driver that is causing this lockup?

    Please help me.

    My controller with TB XO Sevens dies absolutely every single time I play. Sometimes it freezes within five minutes of playing and then four to ten more times within an hour, and other times it freezes once in an hour. Without fail, it fails. Xbox One has
    had SO many glitches my buddy is threatening selling his system and that would mean I would have to do the same. We play daily on Xbox Live and have for years, but it is one headache after another. Xbox sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I've built many a PC, so I understand what you're saying. But it's hard to believe the chip is overheating THAT quickly. However, if I disassemble the Xbox and fix this, I won't be able to send it back should that not be the issue. I want Microsoft to
    make this right.

    don't believe they have even tested the unit, since it would be obvious it is not working. Support can't even tell me what the repairs have consisted of. The whole thing is ridiculous. I want to talk to someone at Microsoft who can arrange for it to be
    replaced, since they obviously have failed to repair it on three separate occasions.

    That's service repair customer service for you. Not much you can do. If it's recently been returned to you, call Microsoft and be stern about it. If they can't do anything about it, then try to escalate. If they're not any help, then I don't think you'll
    want to pay a dime for sub-par "service".

    Hi there,

    I also suggest to contact Xbox Support again about this issue, either via calling Xbox Support or using the Microsoft Support Chat issue.

    Since the issue wasn't fixed previously they should be able to arrange something to try and fix it properly
