    Hey everyone i have had some issues with the youtube app on xbox 360 lately, when i try to open the app i get a schreen saying that the service is unavaileble. when i logout on this schreen and then log back in the app does load as normal but with black bars on the top and bottem (and everything feels off about the resolution like its being squished together).

    When i contacted microsoft support they asked me to remove the app and then reinstall it. Upon trying to reinstall it got stuck at 79% resetting back to 0% every time so he prompted me to unplug the power cord and let the console rest for a couple of hours and while this did fix the installation problem it did not fix the other 2 problems.

    After searching the internet a little bit more i found that u could factory reset the xbox by "formatting" the hard drive but this did not solve the issue either.

    I have already tried that. The problem is that youtube isn't appearing as available to download. Could you tell me why its not accessible?

    Download the YouTube app to stream online videos on Xbox 360

    Sign in with your Xbox Live gamertag.

    Go to apps, and then select Browse Apps or Search Apps.

    Browse or search for YouTube.

    Select YouTube, and then select Confirm Purchase to download and install the app. After the download, the app automatically starts, and you can browse the available content.

    To start YouTube later, select My Apps, and then YouTube. You can also start YouTube by selecting Video, and then My Video Apps.

    If you have a YouTube account, you can sign in to your YouTube account and access your YouTube subscriptions and playlists.

    YouTube created the app for Xbox 360. So if other apps and games do not crash, you might have to contact Google's YouTube support for help in that matter.
