Xbox 360 > Xbox one

Hi, while ive been enjoying most of the games for xbox one the actual system itself is very poor compared to the 360 in terms of software

Im happy they finally added support for usb devices, why wasnt that there straight away? im happy they are going to update the media pc streaming app so it can all be controlled from the One, WHICH you can already do on 360. Its cool that i can have youtube,
netflix or the internet explorer snapped onto the screen so WHY the hell can i not play my music snapped or even in the background LIKE THE 360 COULD DO

The dashboard freezes frequently when snapping/unsnapping apps whole in game, console literally is unresponsive for up to 5 minutes

When kinect is plugged in the sound from my game gives it orderss and can sometimes cause glitches in the game.

Ill probably end up keeping the One anyway as I got over 15 digital games on there but for it to be so technologically crap compared to 360 is redonkulous.... ..slowly switching back to sony.

Out of all the Xbox consoles, which one do you think is the overall best one out of the rest...

While I prefer the Xbox One NXE, I agree with you about the 360. That blades UI was awesome!

Had no dashboard issues myself since day one, nor has Kinect ever responded to an in game sound, (did turn itself on a few times thanks to that Breaking Bad guy shouting Xbox On Yo!) Sounds like you have a problem to me as there is no way the console should
be unresponsive for five minutes. In my experience the One is significantly faster in every way to the 360, but then I do use voice commands as they work for me 99% of the time.

 

If its that crap you had to make a thread on a forum about it i wouldnt bother keeping it. Get rid now while it still has value. No point keeping something you are not happy with. Me personally will be getting a XO 2moro for a price i like without Kinect
and im sure it will do what i want it to do just fine.

The title of your thread should realy read 360>any other console tho.

 

This is a childish comment and utterly undermines your point. Why would anyone take you seriously for missing certain features when you turn around and talk about going to a platform which has none of those
features?

Granted, they are not there, but they will be. It's what happens when you are an early adopter. The issues you've had with voice sound like you've not configured kinect properly, and the lag sounds like a hardware issue.

 

Both are good consoles, but the 360 went through so many changes to get it as good as it is now (although loading the 360 up takes ages now) XB1 is improving every month with the updates.

The Xbox One is a lot smoother than the 360, when I go back to my 360 I kind of miss some features from the XB1 and the smoothness of it.

 

Yep agreed Drunky the "clunkiness" of the 360 is why I havent turned mine on for months, The ease of instant game start from where you stopped the previous play session is just awesome. I might actually see if I can swap my 360 for a PS3 so I can play
some Uncharted and Last Of Us.

Only thing that holding me back is my GOW, Dead Space,ME and assorted Rockstar titles that I may want to play again sometime!

 

My kinect was very unresponsive in my old game room. In game sounds frequently triggered kinect commands and it didn't seem to hear or recognise me half the time. I might as well have unplugged it.

I now have a new house and therefore a new "man cave" Kinect seems to now work as it should.

Therefore by Genchy fanboy logic - the xbox is perfect but you just need to buy a bigger house!

^Its not fanboy logic. I havnt have any problems and mine has worked pretty much perfectly . I share my experience as it has been for me. At no point did I suggest the OP was lying or exaggerating I just suggested he might have a problem with his console
or setup. I love it how someone who is happy with his product is a fanboy, Sorry should I make up a few problems just so you feel a bit happier about your problems?

 

I think I have a faulty Kinect tbh. Last week my console didn't recognise it was plugged in and voice commands usually don't work.

But just because it doesn't work fine for me everyone else has the same problem.

 

Genchy - all meant in good fun. Glad your xbox is problem free.

In my experience external factors (like position and room size) can really mess with Kinect in unexpected ways.

 

My only problem is a 3 year old that has learn't the phrase "Xbox off".

@majikthise, no worries! I remember you having problems with Kinect from day one, didn't it keep trying to sign in your sofa or something weird? Guess I'm lucky having a living room the size of a matchbox!
