Xbox 360 / Xbox Live still present in "My games" list even after 3 years of having sold the ...

The error you are receiving is because this content simply isn't available anymore. However, your account has a license for it, so it shows up. There is no way to remove these as they are attached to your account as long as you have it.

The Xbox Live item you see is an Optional Media Update. This was needed to be able to play specific media on the Xbox 360. This item is listed as a license on your account, and should always show up on the My Games section.

You are more than welcome to post on the
Feedback site to offer the suggestion of being able to remove those. At this time, though, there are no plans to do so.

An old issue, but still present. For reference, even if the standalone Xbox360 console and games are sold in a country does not mean that Xbox LIVE is available there. The list of nations where LIVE is available is at
www.xbox.com/.../countries and until your nation arrives there, there will be significant problems with the use of Xbox LIVE.

I had so many xbox I kinda lost count, but only 2 that actually broke down on me.

1. 20GB xbox pro launch model (disc read error, sent in for repair $180 out of pocket), RROD came later and got it repair again for free, sold system afterward

2. Resident evil edition 360, had for about 1.5 year. sold it for upgrade

3. Modern warefare edition 360, bought it used, sold it 6 months later for upgrade

4. Halo edition 360 , bought it used from a friend, disc read error, fixed myself, RROD fixed my self, then RROD 6 months later and was unfixable, sold for parts.

5. Final Fantasy edition 360, no problem sold it a year later.

6. Japser model 360 arcade, (bought for the kids, still have it til this day, 3+ year)

7. 360 Slim Launch model pro had for 6 month sold for upgrade

8. 360 slim Halo edition - 1+ year sold for upgrade

9. 360 slim 4gb + Kinect launch - bought for the kids and wife, they stop using after a year, so I sold it

10. Gears of war edition 360 - still have this and will be my last 360 I will ever own til xbox one.

I done a lot of upgrade, only simply because It cost me next to nothing or alittle bit of profit on the limited edition console.

No, it does not play Xbox 360 Game/ Disc. It simply has Xbox LIVE (or more of an App for it). It has it's own line up of Games that simply show on your Profile and have Achievements/ Gamescore. The Xbox 360 will more then likely
still be sold for a few more years.

I am sure they will still be playable, even most online components but expect microsoft to stop making games for the 360 almost immediately after the release of the new system just like the xbox1. When my first 360 broke I played a Halo 2 and Madden 08
with my live account on my old xbox. That was about 3 years after they discontinued the xbox1 getting new games.
