Xbox 360 Xbox Live Disconnecting when In Party

I've got a bit of a strange problem in that when i'm on the Xbox One and invited friends join my party or if I join their party everything's ok, but when I'm on the X360 and invited friends join my party or I join theirs within less than a minute i'm disconnected
from live and have to connect again.. It only ever seems to do it once per gaming session, and after i've signed back into XBL it's ok..

I've cleared cache, checked DNS on the X360 and my routers and NAT is open..

It's been doing this since XO launch day..

Xbox connection issues HELP!!!

Why do I only disconnect from an xbox live party when a certain person joins my party? It also causes whatever game I'm playing to lag and sometimes disconnect. Really frustrating. We both have open NAT types. Otherwise connection is flawless. Even have gone into my router settings and opened all necessary ports. PLEASE HELP!!!

 

Backwards compatibility question

Hi, so I downloaded NBA Jam Fire Edition on my Xbox One. So I launched it and it said disconnected from Xbox Live using the 360 titles, then when I was in the game I tried to sign into my Xbox Live it showed the 360 login screen which I selected to sign in and said sorry this profile can't connect to the Xbox live on this console. Now I just wondering if you are able to sign in for the backwards compatible games or its just you as a continue without save thing. Sorry just was able to find an answers for this. Thanks for any help!

 

It's still doing this.. all over the weekend, every time I joined a party or my friends joined my party I got disconnected from live and had to sign back in to live, once signed in it was fine..

I don't have this issue on the XO, I can join party's, or have friends join my party and it's fine..

 

G'day BIG P3TE! Sorry to hear about the party troubles. Let's see if we can get that smoothed out.

The party systems on each console (Xbox 360 and Xbox One) are completely different, so it's no surprise that it can work on one while it hiccups on the other. Let's start by looking at the NAT type. You say yours is open on your Xbox 360 console, but what
about your friends? If they have moderate or strict NAT types, that can affect the party chat just as much as yours.

Next up let's look at your profile. When was the last time you downloaded it to that console? Let's give it a refresh.

• Delete the profile (not items, profile only) or move it to a USB flash drive.
  
• Remove the flash drive, if that's the route you took.
• Clear the console's cache 3 times, and then restart the console
• Download a fresh copy of your profile from Xbox Live and start up a new party.

Yeah I've tried all of the above, several times now since Xbox One was released, I will do it again tonight though..

I'll ask my online friends what their NAT settings are, just to eliminate that aswell..

I appreciate that the X360 & XO are completely separate from each other with the exception of account/sign in info, but I've not come across this before in the 9yrs or so that I'd had my XBL account before the XO was released, So I assumed that it may be
something to do with the joint login as I use both consoles regularly.?

It's a strange one for sure and one that's so common that now when I join or start a party the first thing i say is something like "Hi, I'll be back in a minute after I've been disconnected and signed back in.."

I could always find more friends with XO's ;-)

I've finally debunked this annoying issue, after replacing the 500mb homeplugs with 1gb ones, I still had the issue, I reset to factory settings the router that the Xbox 360 & Xbox One are connected to , and still had the issue, I reset to factory settings
on the Xbox 360 and recovered my gamertag again, but still had the issue.

I then, as a last resort checked the Primary & Secondary DNS settings on the TPlink adsl modem, and noticed that the primary settings had been changed. I'd already had this happen with the Apple Airport Extreme router via malware despite having plenty of
anti-malware / security programs scanning our PC's, the malware uses exploits

I reset the modem, run the setup, changed the Primary & Secondary DNS IP's to Googles Primary 8.8.8.8 and Secondary 8.8.1.1 and it's been fine since and I check the modem's settings every couple of days..
