XBOX 360 WON'T UPDATE DUE TO ERROR CODE 43C5-4451-1380-267F-C000-0185

My son's XBox 360 will not update due to error code 43C5-4451-1380-267F-C000-0185. I have followed all of the steps listed in the forums. I have reset the router, tested the network connections, cleared the cache, and deleted some files to increase storage
space. I removed the XBox hard drive, the thumb drives and restarted the console, but I continue to get the error. I tried removing the update with the LB XX RB sequence described, which worked in removing the update, but it did not allow the new update to
install.

I downloaded the update to a thumb drive, but continued to receive the same error. The XBox 360 hard drive has 378 GB free. I cannot figure out why this update will not load.

The router is a Linksys router.

Does anyone have a solution for the Xbox 360 Error Code 4451 4467 1380 267F C000 0185 which occurs when attempting to update Xbox Live?

 

Xbox 360 error code: 42fe00003080050cd0000185

Oh yeah, my error code is 42FE 43C5 1380 267F C000 0185

What type of console do you have? What size is the hard drive and how much storage is left?

 

I have the same error code and have followed the same steps, including installing the update on a flash drive. The only difference I see is that I have 58 GB free and have an Asus router. Any suggestions?

I have followed all of the steps in the link. It is an XBOX 360 S 4GB and we have a 500GB hard drive from Microsoft in it. The system shows there is 387 GB free on the hard drive. My son is devastated. Any other suggestions? Why does the system not recognize
there is enough space for the update?

 

Thanks for the info guys. One more question. Where did you purchase your hard drives from? Did they come with the console or were they purchased elsewhere?

 

I purchased it from Amazon in December 2014.

 

That might be the issue then Bard. It is very possible that your hard drive is a 3rd party drive. 3rd party drives are not covered by Xbox and can pose issues with the service.

It would be best to try getting an official drive from your local retailer to see if there's any improvement with the update.

Have the same error but my hard drive is original 120 GB.

 

which console are you using Shamrocks? The old FAT or new Slim?

 

Unfortunately, Onyx, the new hard drive made no difference. It seems that something must be corrupt in the console. There are lots of posts on here and the internet that state this error is due to hardware failure and the only fix is to get a new unit.

i have an old xbox 360 elite, fat one with old falcon board, cant get the update i tried everything i even reserved ip for my xbox on modem, opened ports, deleted cache, changed cables, tried connection to the internet & i checked network statistics funny
cuz here i saw xbox connects to the internet with no problems, i cant be too sure bout this but i think the problem is on live servers or at least not on the consoles

 

I have the xbox slim 4 gig. I cannot connect to xbox live and I noticed that my internal memory says it needs formatted.
