Xbox 360 wont Recognize my Ethernet Cable

I'm new to the forums, so if I make a mistake, just understand I've never spent any time here.

Anyways, There's been some strange issues going on. I've been able to connect to Xbox Live perfectly ever since I got my Xbox. Until yesterday, my brother was going to play GTA Online, when he was signed out. He attempted to sign back into Xbox Live, but
was prompted with the "Can't Connect to Xbox Live, Would You Like to Perform a Connection Test" message. I went to go test it. This is when the problem started, it said to make sure there was an ethernet cable plugged into the port. When, it clearly was connected.
I've tried cleaning the cable and the port,I've tried switching the cable onto different ports on the router, nothing has worked. Help?

Xbox used to connect now it doesn't.

Hi, several days ago my xbox would connect without a problem to the ethernet cable i use, now it wont. I've tried everything, restarted router, turning off/on, taking out hard drive, etc.. I use the same cable to connect my computer to the internet and
I've had no problem. The xbox does recognize the ethernet cable, it just wont connect anymore! Any suggestions? (using att uverse, connected via tv receiver box). My roomates xbox connects with an ethernet cable to the same tv receiver when mines not plugged
in so I can't imagine it being the receiver.

 

I can't get internet on my xbox360!! please help

Okay so here is what i have. i have my ethernet cable hooked up to both my xbox and my router. and my router is hooked up to my modem. which in turn is hooked up to my computer. i have internet on my computer but i can not connect to xbox live. please tell
me what i need to do. it recognizes my server and it knows the ethernet cable is hooked up but it wont connect to the internet.
