Xbox 360 won't let me download my account

I just bought a Xbox 360 from a pawn shop and I am trying to download my Xbox profile onto it but it keeps saying ''sorry Xbox live profiles cannot be downloaded right now. Try again later'' error 800704DC. I've tried multiple times. Does it matter if I
created my Xbox account originally on Xbox one? And also my payment on Live is past due so could that be the issue? It still allows me to play on my Xbox One with my account though. Please help

My friend recovered his xbox 360 account to my xbox. He let me download multiple DLC from his account onto my hardrive. When I try playing with the DLC it won't work. Why?

Xbox 360 Account Problems

My xbox 360 won't let me connect to the internet with my account. It says I need to pay first. I tried deleteing my account then download it again but it says accounts can't be downloaded at the time. And it won't let me create new accounts. Saying it can't
be performed right now. Idk what to do now.

Hey Danielle!

If your current Xbox Live membership is past due, that is likely what is not allowing you to download your profile for use of Xbox Live Gold on an Xbox 360 console. We have a guide relating specifically to

error code 800704DC and one of the steps that guide calls out is that if your account is not current, you may experience issues. Work through all the steps provided and hopefully one of them does the trick.

it simply won't let me pay for or download using my Microsoft money account. Says that functionality is not available 'in this portal'. What does that mean? I want to pay and download without my 360 EVENTUALLY. I mean, jeez.
