xbox 360 won't connect to Xbox Live

I change my ISP to Comcast and now my Xbox 360 won't connect to Xbox live. Test Xbox Live Connection results = Network-connected, Internet-Connected, Xbox Live-failed. Live Status = Service-up, Xbox Stores-up, Accounts-up

I have done all of the suggested repairs more than once, connected the Xbox 360 directly to the modem the problem remains the same. Spent over an hour on the phone with Comcast testing and they think the problem is with Xbox live. Spent over 2 hours with Xbox
online chat support and they think the problem is with the modem or Comcast. Called Motorola about the **** SB6121 Modem and they agree with Comcast that the problem appears to be with Xbox.

Any suggestions?

Anyone else unable to sign into xbox live when playing the 360 games?

When pressing both the Menu and View buttons to bring up the mini guide it just says connect to xbox live.

 

...Does your Xbox literally say 192.168.1.XXX? Is static/manual leases set in Xbox Network Settings? The XXX shouldn't be there. That's your problem (See my explanation)

Go into Configure network and make sure both IP Settings as well as DNS settings are set to Automatic.

To explain your results:

T is type, obviously, so your Xbox is wired.

A is your Xbox 360's IP address. Routers never give out 192.168.1.XXX. And by never I mean never. Like, ever. It's not a valid address. Soo yeah.

G is your gateway, so your modem's IP address

D is DNS. Both of your DNS servers are Comcast's, and I've heard some issues with it. If you'd like, you can set one to 75.75.75.75 and the other to 8.8.8.8 (Google's)

In the even that all is set to automatic, then go into the same settings and set it to manual with the following settings:

IP Address: 192.168.1.123

Subnet: 255.255.255.0

Gateway: 192.168.1.1

And like I said you can leave your DNS servers be, or mix it up a little in case Comcast's servers decide to derp.
