Xbox 360 won't connect to network

My 360 always finds my internet, and it has full bars but it can never connect to it.

I click on my internet, type in the password but it won't let me connect to it. My phone and laptop are right here with me and they are connected fine.

When the test fails it says there is an IP address error and tells me to unplug the router or modem. I do this and try again -- doesn't work. It tells me to try a different IP address, which I do -- doesn't work. I tried adding the Xbox's MAC address to
the routers access list -- didn't work. Xbox tells me to go
www.xbox.com/ipaddress-help -- page doesn't exist.

I've also tried restoring the network settings to factory defaults and tried everything over again, but that didn't work either.

wireless help

I bought a black 360 today and it won't connect to the wireless network I've been using on my previous 360. It says my xbox can't connect to the wireless network.

Can't connect, IP Address Error

My xbox 360 won't connect to my wired network. I've tried all the suggestions that xbox has given me but none have worked. Help please.

its almost sounds like ur dns is giving you problems...go to ur setting and make sure ur network settings for dns is on automatic and not on manual setting....I would also try doing a power reset on ur modem

Sounds similar to my problem, in the last few months I keep getting kicked out of xbox live when trying to play online. Have checked with my ISP and no problems on their end, have reset to factory defaults and reset my modem but no improvement.

the same *** is happening to me i have full bars and still wont work i even got a new modem still wont work and he is right Microsoft dosent do nothing about it.

Ah, yes. I am familiar with internet connection sharing and network bridging. But my pc won't actually recognize my 360 as a network. I open my network connections and there is no port or connection for the game system. I have the internet source recognized,
but not the other half of the issue.

What point do you reach when the connection fails? Please perform another network test for both and select ‘Test Xbox Live Connection’ (not Network Statistics or any other test), then when it fails, go through any suggestions. These would indicate the possible reason(s) for this error with various ways to resolve it.

If you don’t see any suggestions, post back and we can go through all the possibilities for this network error here.

Hi Jaden, I’m Ryan.

What Xbox 360 model do you have? All the ones prior to the Xbox 360 S required the network adapter (as the consoles didn’t have built-in WiFi) for an internet connection to Xbox Live.
