Xbox 360 won't connect online only offline

Hi there,

something you can try is the following.

- Power the console off

- Remove the console from power, by disconnecting the power supply from wall and console

- wait 60 seconds

- Reconnect power supply to console and wall socket

- power on the console by holding the Guide button on the controller.

Yes it's true. There are a few games that are online only so those won't work, but otherwise you can use a 360 entirely offline.

It won't play offline on my 360 either, which I find suspicious to the point of not really wanting the machine if it is online only, for my own purposes.

Xbox games pass ultimate games to be connected to be online to be sure it's the correct licence, that is why it won't work in offline .

You won't get a reset if you gain achievements offline unless you're getting online only achievements while you're offline. It's a sign that you've modded your gamerscore.

The only other thing that might happen is if you are playing offline and then recover your account before you connect to Live with the account, then the achievements you earns while offline won't show up and you'll have to re-earn them again.
