    Xbox 360 Wireless Problem


    Hey all!

    I hope that this will be seen and I can get help.

    I've recently dug up my old 360, which, -among other things- has a bad networking problem. You see, the console seems to think that my WPA2 Wi-Fi is in fact, WEP, and asks for WEP key, then refuses my WPA2 password. I've managed to connect to my neighbor's
    Wi-Fi and successfully got to Xbox Live once, but won't work anymore. I tried entering the network manually, still nothing. I have no way of changing to WEP on my router, and even if I did, there are other people on my network I don't want interfering with.

    If someone could please help me find a solution it would be greatly appreciated.

    Turn off and disconnect all controllers from the Xbox 360 and disconnect the wireless headsets from the controllers.

    Connect the wireless headset to the Xbox 360 using the USB cable. Turn on the wireless headset.

    Sync the headset to quadrant 1 by pressing the "Connect" button on the on the Xbox 360. Then press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset for two seconds. Do not continue to press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset, as this will change the
    quadrant to which it is connected. If the headset now works without the controllers attached, the problem must be with one of your controllers. If the headset still does not work, then the problem is with the headset.

    It shouldn't be seeing that there is no wireless adapter found, since the wireless adapter is internal this means that there is a problem with the XBOX 360's internal wireless adapter causing this message to come up.

    I would contact XBOX Support or visit the Microsoft Repair site here to start a repair for your console. It seems that there is something wrong hardware wise.
