    XBox 360 Wireless PC Controller disconnects after 10 minutes of play


    XBox 360 Wireless PC Controller disconnects after 10 minutes of play.

    Tried the following:

    • Different USB ports
    • Changed batteries.
    • Different PCs
    • Different Operating Systems - Windows 8.1, Windows 10
    • Nothing helps XBox 360 Wireless PC Controller disconnects after 10 minutes of play :(
    Although I bought the controller around 2+ years ago, I used it maybe 10 times.

    Is it possible to have it replaced?

    That happens if your wireless controller has been inactive for at least 15 minutes. The Xbox One Wireless Controller is designed to turn off after 15 minutes of inactivity. If that is not the case I suggest you to check this support link and check the "Your

    How to connect wireless Xbox 360 controller to PC

    Get on ebay and search for xbox pc wireless adapter. I have one and it would disconnect every minute or so on one controller. I would really suggest a wired controller.

    Hey MaximusRaskin! Are you using the original wireless adapter? I would suggest trying the 360 controller on an Xbox 360 console to see if it will work for longer than 10 minutes. If it does I would suggest trying a new Xbox 360 for Windows Wireless Adapter
    to see if that will resolve your issue. Please post back and let me know how these steps go.

    Hey MaximusRaskin! Are you using the original wireless adapter? I would suggest trying the 360 controller on an Xbox 360 console to see if it will work for longer than 10 minutes. If it does I would suggest trying a new Xbox 360 for Windows Wireless Adapter

    Hi,

    Both wired and wireless Xbox 360 controllers work on Windows 10. Wired is just plug and play while wireless controllers need a receiver. I know 360 controllers work as I've used them on my own gaming PC running the latest version of Win 10.

    Is the controller a wireless controller or wired? If it is wireless, how are you connecting it? If by using the play & charge kit, then the Xbox 360 controller will not work, as the cable is only recognized on PC for charging only. You need to use a Xbox
    360 Wireless adapter for PC to connect a wireless Xbox 360 controller to your PC.
