    Hi.

    I'm sorry if my english is not the best. I'm from Argentina. I'll make an effort for you to understand me.

    I'm having some troubles with my Xbox 360 Wireless Controller. I have Windows 10 for 5 or 6 months and today my wireless controller didn't connect automatically as usual. I have a wireless reciever too. I tried to actualize the "Microsoft Xbox 360 Accesories"
    and there aren't any avaliable updates. I tried by a CD that comes with the Wireless Reciever and when i open "setup.exe" it appears this:

    It seems like the application is having some troubles on Windows 10. When I search for help or updates, it send me to a page that doesn't help at all. I also couldn't find any information on the internet. Please, help. I didn't do anything with my computer.
    I use this Wireless controller everyday and i NEVER had any troubles in Windows 10. Today, out of nowhere, i can't use it. Both Controller and Reciever are originals from Xbox.

    I can't understand what's going on. I just want my product to be working as always.

    Was it the official Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller? For the Xbox 360 wireless controller, an adapter is required. For Xbox One, the original Xbox One controller will only work when wired. For the One S controller, you can connect it via bluetooth.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately unlike the Xbox One controllers, the wireless Xbox 360 controllers remain wireless regardless of whether you connect them to a PC with a Play and Charge. You can't make an Xbox 360 wireless controller a wired controller.

    If you want to use your 360 wireless controller on a PC you'll need to buy an Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows.

    Is the controller a wireless controller or wired? If it is wireless, how are you connecting it? If by using the play & charge kit, then the Xbox 360 controller will not work, as the cable is only recognized on PC for charging only. You need to use a Xbox
    360 Wireless adapter for PC to connect a wireless Xbox 360 controller to your PC.

    Hi,

    The Wireless Optical receiver doesn't work with the Xbox 360 controller. The 360 uses it's own type of wireless protocol. To connect the controller you'll need a Xbox 360 wireless gaming receiver.

    Hi,

    The Xbox 360 wireless protocol is not Bluetooth. This is why your 360 controller won't sync to your wireless receiver. PlayStation Dual Shock uses BT, the 360 does not. Only the Xbox One X controller can be connected via Bluetooth.

    If you want to use a wireless 360 controller you will need to buy the Xbox 360 wireless gaming receiver. Don't buy the Xbox One receiver as it does not support 360 controllers either.
