    Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Stuck on player 4 NOT PC


    Hello,

    One of our XBOX 360 wireless controllers is stuck on player 4. We ARE NOT using it on a PC only on the XBOX console. I have replaced the battery pack and also put in regular batteries. Can the controller be reset? When I did a reconnect all the lights
    came on and the player 4 light stayed on. It is like it is frozen in that position.

    Xbox 360 Controller for Windows not reassigning on Xbox 360

    I have connected 2, Wired Xbox 360 Controller for Windows to my Xbox 360 S. They are both stuck in player 1 config. While those 2 wired controllers remain connected, I connect my Wireless controller to the 360. it positions itself to player 2 perfectly. Is
    there some work around to this annoying problem? I am unable to play Blur 4 player because of this problem.

    Fable: TLC

    I just got a Xbox 360 with wireless controller. Someone gave me Fable: TLC for Xbox. I want to play this game, but my controller doesn't have the 4 extra buttons on it. Is there a controller that has the 4 extra buttons and will work with my Xbox 360? Anyway
    to play this game on my 360?

    Okay. Here's a list of what I did to try and trouble-shoot the issue.

    1 - Turned off and unplugged XBOX 360. Plugged in 3 Microsoft brand wired controllers into USB ports on the back. Plugged in XBOX 360 and powered on. All 3 controllers show Player 1. Unplugged each controller individually at the in-line release/breakaway
    connector and reconnected. No change. Each still shows Player 1.

    2 - Turned off and unplugged XBOX 360. Plugged in 1 Microsoft brand wireless controller into USB port on front (I know it's a wireless controller but this one is used and the rechargeable battery is completely dead and won't hold a charge.). Plugged in
    3 Microsoft brand wired controllers into USB ports on the back. Plugged in XBOX 360 and powered on. All 3 regular wired controllers show Player 1. Wireless controller that's plugged into a USB port shows as Player 2.

    Hi there do you know what Quadrant the wireless headphone sync's to on your xbox? switch your xbox on, then switch the wireless controller on wait until it boots up. Then switch your headset on, if it sync's to a different quadrant to your controller then
    there is 4 buttons on the headset which you then press each button. Each of those buttons on the wireless headset are so you can link it to a different controller say if you have 4 players playing xbox you can press button 4 and that will sync the headset
    to controller 4 does that make sense?

    Windows 10 + XBOX 360 Wireless Adapter / Controller don't work anymore

    I don't own an xbox. I just use the XBOX 360 Wireless Controllers with the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows. On toher devices (without OS Windows 10) it's working.

    I followed this instruction (sadly in german, can't find the english one, but it was the same):

    3rd party controllers can often be many times better than 1st party.

    A good example of this is the Logitech wireless controllers 4 the original xbox. Which then led into the wireless 1st party controller now used on the xbox 360. :)

    Thanks for your response, onyxishere. I have 4 Xbox 360 wireless controllers and none if them will work with the game (though they all work with other games). I don't own an Xbox One controller. The Crackdown 3 game faq mentions that 360 wireless controllers
    can be used so I'm at a loss as to why it's not working.
