Xbox 360 wireless controller has stopped working.

I've had this controller as long as the Xbox itself and there have been no signs of issues with either. The last time I used my Xbox was a less than a week ago and both controller and console worked fine then. The controller had three bars of battery left
too. It was not until today that I've had any issues with it.

No lights will appear on the controller at all. I have tried (multiple times) replacing the batteries, restarting the console and I even checked the controller for any possible damage. It's fine and the controller had not been moved from its position from
the last time I used it as no one in the house has used the Xbox within that short space of time.

I do not have the money to buy a new controller, and quite frankly I don't want to spend the money as there shouldn't be an issue to begin with (to the best of my knowledge). If I was going to buy a new controller it would be for a player three.

Why can't my Xbox One S wireless controller detect headsets?

I bought my Xbox one S Wireless Controller in August 2018, and the 3.5mm headphone jack has been working fine. Then, yesterday it just stopped working completely. Can someone help me?

 

Controller issues

Hi,

I had a wireless controller & one day it just stopped working. It just kept flashing & it wouldn't sync with the console.

I thought it was an issue with the controller, so i bought a new one, but this time it was a wired controller (as it was cheaper) & then it worked fine, and did so for a few months. Yesterday i got another wireless controller & it has done the same as the
first wireless controller, which makes me think its an issue with the Xbox itself.

Has anybody any experience with this problem?

Hey mate, it's hard to say what could be the issue as electronics products can give up without any notice, I can only suggest if you have the charge cable to try and plug that in to see if it works with a direct power source, also try the troubleshooting
steps here:

Other then that, it might be a new controller, unfortunately.

UPDATE:

I tried using my Xbox with my other controller and it had the same issues. So either both controllers spontaneously stopped working at the same time (highly unlikely) or the problem lies with the Xbox itself.

 

Does anyone have an answer?

 

Try taking your controllers to a friends house, (one who has an XBOX obviously), and see if your controllers work that way. If they work at your friends, then yes it is something to do with your console. However, due to the fact that the console does not
affect controllers having the ability to just turn on, it is most likely just your controllers.
