Xbox 360 wireless connection to xfinity latest router SB7

I have updated my xfinity router. Everyone can connect to the new router except my xbox 360. I can connect wired but not wireless. Xfinity support says that technology of new router not compatible with xbox 360 and that maybe there is an update for
xbox 360 that would help with the connection issue. I do not see any new updates to the xbox 360 network adapter but are there any? I know the console is old but need help.

It can see the 2.4 but there is no driver update to be able to connect

if they are saying the router is using newer tech (wifi 6) then the 360 may get left behind as that will not receive anymore updates.

check to see if the router can still use 2.4ghz as i know they are using 5ghz and 6ghz.

I am having issues getting my Xbox 360 to connect to the Internet. error code 80151909

My Internet is obviously working, since I am typing this over the connection.

I have taken all of the steps recommended by IanCeazar2006.

I have reset Xfinity Router (Houston Area). Wifi router (Airport Extreme)

Switched back and forth between wired and wireless.

Connected directly to the Xfinity router with the Xbox...

At a loss for what to do next? (Used to work fine) It is getting a local lan IP address and should be fine.

With my work at home I needed a DOCSIS3 modem so I got one with a wireless router.

The original wireless router does have the latest firmware. The laptops and everything else can connect to the router with WPA2, except the Xbox 360.

losing connection in the middle of a game, is the new wireless router I am using from xfinity. having no issue with any other wireless devices.
